Privacy policy

Your camera stays yours.

This policy explains version 1 of UpAlarm for iPhone. It is written to say plainly what the app handles, where it stays, and how it is removed.

Effective 30 August 2026

UpAlarm does not collect personal data, analytics, advertising identifiers or camera video.

Camera and pose detection

Camera frames are analysed temporarily on your iPhone with Apple’s Vision framework to count push-ups. Frames are not saved, uploaded or shared. You can revoke camera access at any time in iPhone Settings.

Data stored on your iPhone

UpAlarm stores your alarm, optional weekly-progression setting, setup state, up to 30 wake-up results and interrupted-challenge recovery state locally with UserDefaults. Short-lived App Group state routes an AlarmKit stop action into the correct challenge and is cleared after use.

Progression reminders

If you enable weekly progression, UpAlarm asks iOS for notification permission and schedules the reminder locally on your iPhone. Version 1 uses no push-notification server. A reminder never changes your push-up target without your approval.

Retention and deletion

Wake-up history is limited to the latest 30 results. Deleting an alarm removes its native AlarmKit registration and scheduled progression reminder. Expired recovery state is cleared automatically. Deleting UpAlarm removes its local app data.

Purchases and Apple services

Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. UpAlarm reads Apple-provided product and entitlement status but does not receive or store your payment-card details. Apple’s privacy terms apply to its services.

Sharing, tracking and third parties

UpAlarm does not sell or share app data. Version 1 has no custom backend, account system, advertising SDK or analytics SDK. If those practices change, this policy and the App Store privacy answers must be updated before release.
